About

Cara is a painter and sculptor who works with mediums–wood, cement, metals, clay, paper and fabric. Her artistic curriculum leans towards 2D/3D abstract works with each material assimilated to express her vocabulary of emotions.

She combines woodworking techniques, casting, collage, and assemblage. Cara's influences are sculptors Louise Nevelson (1899-1998), Marcel Duchamp (1887-1968), Anne Truitt (1921-2004), painter Henri Matisse (1869-1954), and Ai Weiwei.

A fellow of the Berlin Art Institute, she took a gap year in 2024 to redesign her open studio.
Over the years, her works have been exhibited in private and public shows since her first outing l_st & found in 2013, in Singapore. In 2021, her third show, Zero, presented 20 wall-sculptures for family-office clients. In the same year, she exhibited at M.A.D.S. Art Gallery in Milan for Philo-Poem

Cara was part of the
Grand Tour of America group exhibition (NYC) for a billboard display on Clarkson St. In 2020, A State Of Mind and Lucid Dream series were presented in two private viewings, followed by a group exhibition by MetroExpo at Alexanderplatz, Berlin. The artist also supported LGBT-run Kunstwerk Gallery in Varel.
